Out of adversity… forms an alliance!

Theatre Alliance was created by Marlisa Ross and Stuart Bird. Having met in 2016 and worked closely alongside each other on many theatre, dance & musical theatre projects, they formed a friendship through a shared vision and their love of theatre.

Both Marlisa & Stuart both found themselves seeking new challenges after facing unexpected redundancy during the pandemic lockdown in March 2020. It’s been a testing time for everyone, but both Marlisa & Stuart saw their situation as an opportunity to explore new challenges and work together.

Our mission? To strive to create challenging and innovative dance and musical theatre through untold stories, exploration and performance. 

We want to tell stories that dare to be heard, and present work that challenges the norm. New work, rarely performed work, exciting and innovative work. 

Theatre Alliance plan to launch in Kilmarnock in January 2021 (subject to coronavirus restrictions) with our Women’s Dance Company.

Against all the odds that our world faces today, with the challenges of the Coronavirus pandemic, we will meet, with safety and social distancing in mind to explore new theatrical adventures… together!
