Our new musical… The Fallen

Theatre Alliance presents it’s next new musical production ‘The Fallen’ at Glasgow’s Websters Theatre in May 2024.

Last year, we presented our first original musical theatre piece ‘Silenced’. Once again, we will explore a new project for our next musical in May 2024.

Many thousands of women – most of them young and unmarried – were forced to give up their babies for adoption until the late 1970s.

In 2023, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon issued a formal apology for the practice describing it as ‘unjust and profoundly wrong’

‘The Fallen’ focuses on a number of stories of the girls who were cruelly labelled ‘The Fallen Girls’.

This is a story that needs to be told.

The show will be written and directed by our Artistic Director Marlisa Ross, with new music and other musical arrangements by Stuart Bird.
