Sixteen
Our Young Dance Theatre Company presented a brand new piece as part of The National Festival of Youth Theatre. The piece entitled ‘Sixteen’ was written and directed by Theatre Alliance’s Artistic Director Marlisa Ross.
The new work is a semi-verbatim piece, focusing on the experiences and challenges of growing up as a teenage girl in Ayrshire over the past 60 years. The piece is based on interviews and is a personal portrait of life as a teenage girl in the past, present and future.
Sixteen was presented at The Gaiety in Ayr as a part of The National Festival of Youth Theatre in July 2022.
